Lab Tests Online-UK (LTO-UK) is delighted to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary at EuroLabFocus. This international meeting, being held in Liverpool between 7 – 10 October 2014, is the third joint conference of the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry & Laboratory Medicine (EFLM), hosted by The Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine, and incorporating Focus 2014. The scientific programme focuses on laboratory medicine's practice and contribution to health and healthcare across Europe.

Members of the UK board will be present in the Exhibition Hall to celebrate our achievements over the past 10 years, and outline plans for the future. Dr Danielle Freedman, Chair LTO-UK, will be discussing how its growth will be sustained over the coming years, when there is increasing public and patient’ interest in their health and healthcare.

Now an international venture, Lab Tests Online is available in 17 countries and 14 different languages. As a public resource, it helps patients better understand the many clinical laboratory tests that healthcare professionals use to provide the link between symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. Over the last 10 years, the UK website has expanded vastly, and now includes information on over 280 tests and more than 100 diseases and conditions, and receives and average of 150,000 visitors per month. The free LTO-UK smartphone app was launched in 2013 and by August 2014, downloads reached 9492. The profile of LTO-UK is set to rise even further from April 2015 onwards, when patients in the UK will be given access to their test results. LTO-UK is working with GP system providers to promote integration of the website into the patient records.
